1. General Refund Policy
Culinary Masters Academy offers refunds under the following conditions:
Full Refund (100%)
- Course cancellation within 7 days of enrollment
- Course cancelled by Culinary Masters Academy
- Technical issues preventing course access (our fault)
- Duplicate payments or billing errors
Partial Refund (Pro-rated)
- Withdrawal after course commencement but within first 30% of course duration
- Medical emergencies with proper documentation
- Relocation outside of Canada with proof
2. Course-Specific Refund Terms
Online Courses
For self-paced online courses:
- Full refund if requested within 14 days and less than 25% course completion
- No refund after 25% course completion or 30 days, whichever comes first
- Downloaded materials must be deleted upon refund
Live Virtual Classes
For scheduled live classes:
- Full refund if cancelled 48 hours before first session
- 50% refund if cancelled after first session but before second session
- No refund after second session attended
In-Person Workshops
For hands-on cooking workshops:
- Full refund if cancelled 7 days before workshop
- 50% refund if cancelled 24-48 hours before workshop
- No refund for cancellations less than 24 hours before workshop
- Ingredients and materials costs may be deducted from refunds
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Certification fees and examination costs
- Shipped cooking kits and ingredients
- One-on-one consultation sessions (after completion)
- Gift certificates and promotional credits
- Administrative and processing fees

How to Request a Refund

- Provide your enrollment details and reason for refund
- Submit any required documentation
- Await confirmation and processing
Processing Timeline
- Refund requests are processed within 5-7 business days
- Credit card refunds may take 3-10 business days to appear
- Bank transfers and other payment methods may take longer
5. Course Transfers and Credits
Instead of a refund, you may be eligible for:
- Transfer to another course of equal or lesser value
- Course credit valid for 12 months
- Rescheduling to future session (subject to availability)
6. Force Majeure
In cases of natural disasters, pandemics, or other events beyond our control, we will work with students to provide:
- Course rescheduling options
- Virtual alternatives when possible
- Extended course credits
- Pro-rated refunds when appropriate
7. Dispute Resolution
If you're not satisfied with our refund decision, you may:
- Request a review from our Academic Director
- Participate in mediation through a neutral third party
- Contact consumer protection agencies in your province
